Our Graduate School, in cooperation with GUZEM, with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), held the opening program of the “Gazi University Turkish World Educational Sciences International Congress -II” on November 16, 2022.

Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Bülbül, Dean of Gazi Education Faculty Prof. Dr. Mahmut Selvi, YTB Vice President Sayit Yusuf, TİKA Foreign Relations and Partnerships Department Head Uğur Tanyeli, Graduate School of Educational Sciences Director Prof. Dr. Şaban Çetin, GUZEM Director Assoc. Dr. Mutlu Tahsin Üstündağ, panelists, academics, administrators, congress participants from abroad, faculty members and students attended to this event.

The congress opening program held at the Rectorate Mimar Kemaleddin Hall started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. The opening speech of our congress, which we organized for the second time this year, was made by our Director Prof. Dr. Saban Cetin. The opening speeches continued with Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, GUZEM Director Assoc. Mutlu Tahsin Üstündağ, YTB Vice President Sayit Yusuf, and TİKA Foreign Relations and Partnerships Department Head Uğur Tanyeli.

After the opening speeches, we thank YTB Vice President Sayit Yusuf and TIKA Foreign Relations and Partnerships Department Head Uğur Tanyeli for their contributions to our Congress, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli and our Director Prof. Dr. Şaban Çetin presented a sapling planting certificate. Congress opening program, chaired by Prof. Dr. Tayyip Duman continued with a panel by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Mahiroğlu and Assoc. Dr. Savaş Karagöz on “Teacher Training”. The congress opening program ended with taking photos.

After the opening program, our congress continued with face-to-face and online parallel sessions at the Technology Faculty Tashkent Building. Calligraphy works named “From Word to Heart” by Abdulkadir Kaya were exhibited in the building where the sessions were held.

On the second day of the congress, a tour of Anıtkabir was organized for the participants. After the tour, the congress continued with face-to-face and online parallel sessions.

On the third day of the congress, the congress closing program was held with the attendance of our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel GELİŞLİ, our Graduate School Director Prof. Dr. Şaban ÇETİN, Deputy Directors Prof. Dr. Muhammet KOÇAK, Assoc. Dr. Ayşe YALÇIN ÇELİK, our Institute Secretary Ceylan YAVUZ KONUK, congress participants, academicians, our administrative staff and students. In the congress, 103 papers on 20 different themes were presented with approximately 160 participants in the national and international fields (Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan). In the program, our Director Prof. Dr. Şaban ÇETİN was presented with a caftan unique to their country by our participants from Uzbekistan. Our congress ended with participants expressing their satisfaction with the congress and conveying thanks to those who contributed.

After the closing program within the scope of the congress, a visit to the Presidential National Library was organized.
